Reproductive Child Health Programme

ASRA focus on child and maternal health trough different field based health & hygienic activities and tried to improve the situation of maternal and child health in a better way. By considering the rate of maternal death, which is so high in comparison to other District and therefore ASRA effort for reducing maternal and child death rate with the support of District Health Department.

Awareness programme on Female Foeticide
Sex determination is ever increasing in India even though there are strict laws against it. In 1994, the Government of India passed the Pre- conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act with the aim of preventing female foeticide. The implementation of this Act was slow. It was later amended and replaced in 2002 by the Prenatal Diagnostic Techniques (Regulation and Prevention of Misuse) Act without ever having been properly implemented.
Asra is working on this issue & regularly organize programme at District as well as block Level. Asra doing awareness programme at grass route level with the coordination Local govt. stake holder and SHGs, Village level committee, ASHA, AWC worker, PRI and Developing information, education, and communication and promoting outreach activities and community involvement.
